The Chichester Bariatric Group hosted the first UK national meeting on Bariatric Anesthesia and Peri-operative Care in 2008, and have run a September meeting every year since.
Chichester Bariatrics 2011 was a joint meeting involving both the European and UK societies, and tok place on Monday and Tuesday the 26th & 27th of September, again in the Charlton Suite of Goodwood Racecourse near Chichester.
This years meeting was truly international, with registered delegates coming from across the UK, from Belgium, Holland, Germany, the US, Pakistan and New Zealand. Our Speakers included Dr Jay Brodsky (Stanford USA), Dr Stephanie Jones (Boston USA), Prof Jan Mulier (Belgium), Dr Yigal Leykin (Italy) and Prof Mark Bellamy (Leeds).
The date of the next Chichester Meeting will be announced shortly, but this September the Scientific Meeting of SOBA will take place in Taunton on the 20th and 21st of September: details will be posted here and on the SOBA website.
